I named my blog after my dog Daisy so it should be pretty obvious she is very important to me. Daisy came to us after the loss of our beloved Claudia who lived to be 19 years old. Claudia was one of the great loves of my life but she was very independent. She was cat like at times, spending time with you when she felt like it but if she did not feel like it, you were out of luck! Daisy on the other hand is the complete opposite. Daisy is a deaf rescue who is the definition of a velcro dog. While we have to work to create healthy boundaries, I love the fact that she is by my side most of the time. She seems to have a genuine interest in what I’m doing. She’s very intelligent and it’s very funny to watch her trying to figure out what I’m doing. I don’t think she was socialized much or had many (positive) life experiences so I love to show her new things and of course I explain to her what I’m doing even though she can’t hear a word I’m saying!
Sometimes Daisy is behind the scenes and I don’t even know it until it’s almost too late! She was very intrigued by my Blueberry Buttermilk Bundt Cake.
Homemade Dog Treats were one of our most challenging photo shoots. Daisy was taste tester, photo shoot stylist and quality control on this one. She really carried the load for the whole team.
Working on the blog is an almost daily task and it can be daunting without the right assistance. I’m lucky to have the best assistant peanut butter cookies can buy. Not everyone has that kind of talent on their team!
When you write a food blog, you have to keep up with your fitness. Here is the world’s best yoga partner. Besides getting white hair all over my yoga mat, she is just about the best yoga partner you could ask for. Nomaste!
